Just Do Something…Where is the Urgency

Isn’t momentum in our actions and behaviors an amazing thing. We become so ingrained in how we go through our day that even a ‘near death’ experience will not cause us to change.

ChangeWhat am I talking about? Our human resistance to change, particularly in the workplace. One of the key responsibilities of the leader of a business is to create a culture that is open to change. Why you ask?

The dynamics required for business success are changing so rapidly that if you and your employees are not able to respond by changing how you operate, your business may be vaporized in months, weeks or even days. By the time you discover the need to change it may be too late.

Creating such a culture starts at the top, YOU the leader need to model the willingness to change, you need to change something, where you sit, what you eat, how you communicate, something that signals to others that you can change.

What is that old saying, ‘Change or Die!” or ‘Be the Change You Want to Happen.’

If you have a change success story I would love to hear it and learn from it. Or if you have resources to suggest around change I would love to learn about them.

I think just having an open mind and awareness to the everyday happenings with the people who surround you can always change for the better. People can usually sense if you are approachable, that makes for better communication, which makes for better changes in the workplace
