		<description>Kudos to you! One of the best, if not the best articles I have read in a long, long time. I agree that businesses, whatever their ilk, need to institute changes and innovations, all the while keeping the 'troops' involved and informed. Perhaps we should send this article to our government - or do you think the rot and decay that is so ubiquitous that nothing can help? I'm for privatizing the whole damn mess.</description>

		<description>I couldn't agree more with the comment above.  Preparing employees for change is the number one mistake I see in most companies.  The employees feel left out of the loop and as if they somehow do not matter when it comes to the change.  The reality of it is that they are the ones who are either going to make or break effecting the change successfully.  Treating your employees as if they matter, and as if they are playing a pivotal role in the change is of the utmost importance.</description>

In fact, many times the change is sprung onto the employees without any prior knowledge.  Creating the mindset for change and for the support and acceptance of it is a key factor for it to be successful.  This is especially true of employees that have been within a company or an organization for a long period of time.  They tend to display the most resistance to the change and the least support.  This can have very damaging effects on the morale of the remaining employees and their acceptance of the new ways.  It is very important to "have everyone on board."  &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Great post - great tips - great topic. . .thanks!&lt;/p&gt;
